Sana’a: The General Authority for Antiquities and Museums has resumed publication of the “Yemeni Museum” magazine with its fourth issue after a 16-year hiatus. Abbas Al-Hayal, the head of the authority, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the 16-year period between the third and fourth issues witnessed events that changed the situation in Yemen, including the aggression against Yemen, which impacted archaeological sites and museums. The latest incident was the destruction of the National Museum complex in Sana’a, preceded by the targeting of the Dhamar Museum where hundreds of artifacts were destroyed.
According to Yemen News Agency, the fourth issue of the Yemeni Museum magazine includes journalistic materials about historical antiquities rich in benefits for the reader, along with two reports on the National Museum in Sana’a and the Dhamar Museum, in addition to other reports.
