Sana'a: The Yemeni Military Media has released footage depicting a two-day search and rescue operation carried out by the Yemeni Navy for the crew of the ship ETERNITY C, which sank on June 9 due to its violation of a maritime ban.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Yemeni Navy successfully rescued 11 crew members from the sea, including two who were injured and subsequently received medical care. Additionally, the body of an individual found on board prior to the ship sinking was transported to a hospital morgue.
Recordings obtained from the crew confirmed that the ETERNITY C had breached the maritime navigation ban by attempting to reach ports in occupied Palestine. The crew admitted that the vessel's intended destination was the Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) Port, having departed from Berbera Port in Somalia. The ship used Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia as a cover for refueling and to mask its true destination.
The crew members have sent messages to companies that operate ships heading to Israeli ports, urging them to cease trade and dealings with Israelis. They also expressed their apologies to the Palestinians, acknowledging that the ship was en route to Israel.
