Yemeni Red Crescent Society Completes Renovation of Al-Khair Basic School in Al-Rajm

Al-rajm: The education sector in Al-Rajm district of Mahweet province welcomed the newly renovated Al-Khair Basic School in Ma'athal Ruhan area, handed over by the Yemeni Red Crescent Society branch. This project was funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

According to Yemen News Agency, Murshid Al-Aliyi, the head of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society's branch in the province, highlighted that the renovation and rehabilitation project aims to enhance the educational environment and provide more suitable conditions for students. This project was executed in collaboration with the local community, school administration, and education authorities, reflecting the society's commitment to community participation and implementing priority projects that benefit local communities.

Al-Aliyi detailed the scope of the project, which included renovating and rehabilitating the school buildings and 10 classrooms, along with their facilities. The renovations involved painting, tiling, replacing doors and windows, installing modern blackboards, repairing the sanitation system, and conducting other construction and improvement works to support and upgrade educational infrastructure while fostering partnerships between humanitarian organizations and the local community.

Emphasizing the importance of maintaining the school's facilities, Al-Aliyi stressed the need for a clean environment to promote a conducive setting for students and support their academic success.

School Principal Yahya Salah, community committee member Hussein Ghazwan, and local residents expressed gratitude to the Yemeni Red Crescent Society branch and the ICRC for funding the renovation and rehabilitation project. They praised the project's role in improving educational conditions in the district and acknowledged the efforts of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society and the ICRC in supporting community-beneficial humanitarian and development projects.

In conclusion, Al-Aliyi, along with the branch's Secretary-General Saad Al-Hafashi, honored the school administration and community committee for their efforts in facilitating the project's implementation and overcoming challenges during the renovation. The school administration and community committee also recognized the Yemeni Red Crescent Society branch's management for their role in overseeing and completing the project.
