Yemeni Scholars Association Condemns Silence on Gaza, Supports Regional Resistance

Sana'a: The Yemeni Scholars Association (YSA) on Thursday issued a strong condemnation of the silence concerning the ongoing crimes, starvation, thirst, and genocide in Gaza.

According to Yemen News Agency, the YSA emphasized that the religious obligation to support Gaza grows with each new casualty and every passing day, despite the inaction of numerous Muslim nations and regimes. The YSA declared that there is no justification for leaders, armies, and peoples in the Muslim world to refrain from participating in "jihadist movement" to aid the oppressed, supply humanitarian aid, and support the Palestinian cause, labeling it "the epitome of truth and a distinguishing mark between faith and hypocrisy."

The statement also expressed full support for the Yemeni Armed Forces' "great jihadist operations" and the leadership's "firm and principled decision" to back Gaza. The YSA highlighted that these operations cause "great concern to the Zionists" and protect the Yemeni people from divine wrath that may befall those who remain indifferent.

The Yemeni Scholars Association extended its warning to the Syrian and Lebanese people, urging them to recognize the Zionist threat and focus their animosity towards it before it consolidates its occupation and expands its ambitions. In this context, the YSA deemed the preservation of Hezbollah's weapons a "religious and humanitarian duty."

Addressing recent escalations and threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the association expressed its solidarity and support for Iran's right to respond to any aggression. It called upon Islamic regimes and peoples to stand with Iran against any escalation, considering such solidarity an act of faith.

The statement concluded by stressing that adherence to Islam and the Quran necessitates all Islamic nations to quickly support Gaza, stand in solidarity with Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Hezbollah against any aggression or conspiracy, and resist American and Western threats. The association explicitly stated that no cooperation or participation in aggression against Iran is permissible and that Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself and target American bases in the region if attacked.
