Sana'a: The Yemeni Scientific Society of Digestive System held its founding meeting in the capital Sana'a on Thursday, where it elected its administrative body by acclamation. Dr. Abdulhafidh al-Selwi was chosen as chairman, with Dr. Khaled Measar as Vice Chairman and Dr. Mansour al-Amrani as Secretary-General. Additionally, Dr. Abdulhakim al-Mutawakil was appointed to lead the monitoring and inspection committee. The meeting, which was attended by members of the General Assembly and a representative from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, saw the approval of the association's bylaws.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Mujahid Measar, Chairman of the Medical Council, congratulated the new society and highlighted its role in organizing physicians' efforts, alleviating patient suffering, and advancing the medical profession through research and scientific events. The leadership of the Society emphasized its commitment to fostering scientific research, promoting medical practice, raising community awareness about digestive health, and collaborating with relevant national and international bodies.
