Ibb: The General Secretariat of the Yemeni Writers and Authors Union on Tuesday mourned the passing of the head of the Union's branch in Ibb governorate, the writer Abdulelah al-Badani, who passed away after a lifetime devoted to literature and to defending the values of the homeland.
According to Yemen News Agency, the obituary statement described al-Badani's departure as a loss for the Union and for the literary and cultural community in the governorate and in Yemen as a whole, noting the values he embodied through his dedicated and heartfelt service to the creative scene in the province.
The statement highlighted his experience as an eloquent orator who drew inspiration from his mentor, the late Yemeni writer and politician Mohammad Al-Rabbadi, following in his path until his passing.
The Union extended its condolences and sympathies to the family of the deceased and all his loved ones, praying to Almighty God to grant him mercy and forgiveness, and to grant patience and solace to his family and friends.
