Sana'a: The Ministries of Youth and Sports and Education and Scientific Research organized on Sunday a scout march for students of summer and general education schools to mark the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) birthday under the slogan 'The March of the Greatest Messenger.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the march, which started from Tahrir Square and proceeded to Palestine Roundabout on Hadda Street, saw the participation of 1,200 scouts from various educational districts, symbolizing a strong connection to the Prophet and his noble values and principles.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Nabih Abu Shousha, emphasized that the march represents a living model of unity and national belonging among students. He added that it provides an opportunity to instill the values of cooperation, teamwork, and to draw inspiration from the teachings of the Prophet in daily life.
He noted that the Prophet's birthday serves as a reminder of the Muhammadan path, which taught humanity values of mercy, justice, tolerance, and adherence to the right path. Abu Shousha also highlighted that the sacrifices made by Yemeni youth in supporting Gaza reflect Yemen's longstanding commitment to the nation's causes, affirming the continued courage of Yemen's youth in supporting the central cause.
During the march, attended by Abdullah Al-Razhi, Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs, Hadi Ammar, Deputy Minister of Education for Basic Education, explained that the event aims to reinforce ethical and educational principles, encourage students to actively participate in collective activities, and commemorate the Prophet's birthday with a spirit of belonging.
The participating scout teams issued a statement condemning the crimes and violations committed by the Israeli and American forces against the Palestinian people in Gaza and targeting the free peoples of the Arab and Islamic world. The statement affirmed that these actions constitute blatant violations of international law and human rights.
The statement also reaffirmed Yemen's steadfast support for the Palestinian resistance and praised the qualitative development in the capabilities of the Yemeni armed forces, which has intimidated the Israeli enemy. It emphasized that adherence to the Qur'an and the Prophet Muhammad's teachings is the path to confronting the forces of global arrogance.
The statement concluded by calling for broad participation in the central event commemorating the Prophet's birthday.
