Gaza: The first round of matches in Group D of the second Martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad Football Championship for Ministries, Authorities, and Institutions saw victories for the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Justice, and Oil in their opening matches.
According to Yemen News Agency, in the first match, the Ministry of Youth and Sports team began its title defense by defeating the Ministry of Health 3-1. Jalal Al-Qata'a scored two goals for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Abdul-Khaliq Qashasha scored one, while Ahmed Al-Rashidi scored the lone goal for the Ministry of Health.
In the second match, the Ministry of Justice team overcame the Ministry of Foreign Affairs team 3-2. Abdullah Al-Muqashi scored two goals for the Ministry of Justice, and Dhaifallah Al-Farah scored one, while Mohammed Houban and Mohammed Allama scored for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the third match at Al-Dharrafi Stadium, within Group A, the Ministry of Oil and Minerals team defeated the Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Water team 4-1. The Oil players dominated the first half in both play and score, with striker Abdul-Ghani Tamish scoring the opening goal, giving them the advantage in possession and allowing them to intensify their attacks. Al-Kahraba's goal was breached, and Tamesh scored a second goal, capitalizing on the confusion in Al-Kahraba's defense.
Before the end of the first half, Tamesh added a third goal for his team before Al-Kahraba's Hani Al-Obeidi managed to reduce the deficit with a goal after a low shot that the Al-Naft goalkeeper failed to stop. The second half saw a resurgence from Al-Kahraba's players, but without posing a real threat to Al-Naft's goal. However, the team's improved performance reduced the danger posed by Al-Naft's attackers, who relied on playing balls behind the defenders. Suhaim Al-Rabasi then scored a fourth goal for Al-Naft.
