Sana’a: Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ali Al-Mawlad honored the Martyr Leader team for their victory in the “Al-Aqsa Flood” football league in the Arhab district of Sana’a province. The league was organized by Sarwah Arhab Sports and Cultural Club and supervised by the Youth and Sports Office in the province.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Martyr Leader team secured the league trophy after defeating the Martyr Al-Sammad team on penalties, following a 2-2 draw in the final match held at Al-Thawra Sports City Stadium in Sana’a. Minister Al-Mawlad emphasized the importance of engaging youth in sports activities and urged for ongoing support and awareness of developments in Palestine.
The ceremony concluded with the Martyr Leader team receiving the league cup and gold medals, while the Martyr Al-Sammad team was awarded the runner-up cup and silver medals. Additionally, individual honors were given to the league’s top scorer Sultan Abu Dhiab, best player Sadiq Abu Harash, and best goalkeeper Bilal Al-Hajj. The organizing and refereeing committees were also recognized for their contributions.
