Islamabad: The national youth football team regained its form in the Asian Cup with a precious victory over its UAE counterpart by three goals to two in the match that brought them together this evening as part of the second round of the tournament held in Saudi Arabia.
According to Yemen News Agency, the UAE team took the lead through player Hussein Youssef. The national team quickly responded, equalizing with a goal from Ali Al Maghdi. Bashir Sailan then propelled the team ahead with a second goal. Despite the UAE team's efforts to level the score again with a goal from Abdullah Awad, the young Red star Mohammed Sadiq secured the winning goal. This victory not only gave Yemen three crucial points but also revived Yemen's hopes of qualifying for the World Cup finals.
In the second match of the same group, the Republic of Korea team defeated Vietnam by four goals to one. This result places the Korean team at the top of Group C with four points, while Yemen holds the second position with three points, ahead of Vietnam on goal difference.
