Sana'a: The Ministry of Youth and Sports team won the ninth Yemeni Telecommunications Five-a-Side Football Championship, organized by the Companies Union with support from Yemeni Telecommunications. The ministry team defeated Yemeni Telecommunications 5-3 on penalties in the final after the match ended 1-1 in regular time at the Recreational Club Stadium in the capital.
According to Yemen News Agency, Nawaf Al-Amri put the ministry team ahead in the first half with a powerful shot, while Hisham Al-Falahi equalized for Telecommunications early in the second half. The ministry team then clinched the title in the penalty shootout.
At the end of the match, the winners received the championship trophy, gold medals, and a cash prize, while Yemeni Telecommunications received the runners-up trophy, silver medals, and a cash prize.
