Youth & Sports Ministry to Inaugurate Al-Dharafi Stadium and Launch Football Championship

Sana'a: The Ministry of Youth and Sports is set to inaugurate Al-Dharafi Stadium in the capital city of Sana'a tomorrow, marking the completion of its rehabilitation. This event will coincide with the kickoff of the second Martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad Football Championship. The championship will feature teams from various ministries, authorities, and government institutions.

According to Yemen News Agency, the championship is organized by the ministry with backing from the Youth and Sports Care Fund during the holy month of Ramadan. It aims to foster national loyalty while promoting competition and integration among different official bodies.

The tournament is anticipated to draw both official and public audiences, celebrating the significance of this sporting event within the ministry's Ramadan activities.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Nabeel Nasser Ali, highlighted the championship as a crucial step in reinforcing the values of loyalty and appreciation for martyr sacrifices. It also seeks to enhance competition and cooperation among official institutions.

In a statement to Yemen News Agency (SABA), the Deputy Minister expressed that the simultaneous launch of the tournament and reopening of Al-Dharafi Stadium signifies the ministry's dedication to improving sports infrastructure and expanding organized sports activities.

He further noted that the involvement of ministries, authorities, and government bodies in the championship promotes teamwork and fair competition, revitalizes sports activities, and fosters a friendly environment among state employees, aligning with the ministry's mission to support youth and activate sports programs.
