Sana’a: Zenim Company secured their first victory in the 40th Sana’a Ramadan League, defeating Al-Ahli youth 2-1 in the third round of Group Two competitions on Sunday.
According to Yemen News Agency, Zenim led 2-0 at halftime, with goals from Faisal Al-Hazmi and Youssef Al-Hanbasi. Al-Ahli youth managed to pull one back in the second half, with Ahmed Lala’ scoring from a penalty kick.
The match between the 22 May reserves and Shabab Al-Yarmouk ended in a goalless draw, leaving both teams with shared points.
Following these results, 22 May leads the group with five points. Zenim and Al-Rawda Company are closely behind with four points each. Al-Yarmouk sits with two points, while Al-Ahli youth is at the bottom with no points.
The league will continue on Tuesday, featuring Al-Tasheeh facing Al-Shorta and Al-Kabous Company playing against Kamran Company in the fourth round of Group One competitions.
