Gaza Strip: The Zionist enemy delayed on Thursday the release of a batch of Palestinian prisoners, claiming scenes of wide public participation in handing over its prisoners to the resistance in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office stated in a press release that “after following up on the matter with mediators, the Palestinian prisoners will be released later this evening.” Prior to this development, the Zionist enemy’s army radio reported that instructions were issued to the prison administration to freeze the release of Palestinian prisoners until further notice.
The enemy’s decision was justified by citing the extensive public participation during the process of handing over the occupation’s prisoners and the significant public support for the fighters of the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance. Government ministers expressed opposition to the scenes witnessed in Khan Yunis, particularly near the rubble of the house of the martyred head of the Hamas movement, Yahya al-Sinwar, labeling it as an unacceptable provocation.
On the same day, Palestinian resistance factions transferred several Zionist prisoners and foreign workers detained in the Gaza Strip to International Red Cross crews, marking the 12th day of the ceasefire in Gaza. Al-Qassam Brigades released the Zionist female prisoner “Agam Berger” from the rubble of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, an area that experienced significant Zionist bombing and destruction, resulting in numerous casualties among enemy soldiers.
Additionally, fighters from Al-Qassam and Al-Quds Brigades handed over Zionist prisoners “Arbel Yehud” and “Gadi Moses,” along with five Thai detainees, near the remains of the house of the martyred leader Yahya Sinwar in Khan Yunis, as part of the third batch of prisoner exchange according to the ceasefire agreement. The handovers were marked by strong public support and participation, with chants endorsing the resistance and acknowledging its sacrifices.
