Sana'a: 268 surgeries were performed during the 72nd free eye camp, organized by the Health Care Association for Affected Communities at the Qafleh Central Hospital in Qafleh Odhar District, Amran Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Nashwan Al-Attab, head of the association, stated that 268 cataract surgeries were performed during the camp, which was funded by the General Authority for Zakat. He highlighted that the five-day camp, held in cooperation with the governorate's health office, aimed to alleviate the suffering of patients from impoverished families, providing medical services to 1,013 cases.
Dr. Al-Attab further explained that the camp was part of efforts to promote social solidarity and charity towards the poorest and most needy groups, praising the humanitarian role of the General Authority for Zakat and its support for the camp.
