Al-zuhra: The 27th free eye camp, organized by the Grameen Yemen Foundation in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Environment and its office in the governorate, was concluded in the al-Zuhra district of Hodeida governorate. Over the course of five days, the camp provided essential examination and screening services to 1,000 patients from the al-Ma'ras area and surrounding regions.
According to Yemen News Agency, Camp Director Mohammed al-Dabab highlighted that 393 cataract surgeries with lens implantation were performed during the camp. Additionally, free medication was dispensed to the patients, further aiding their recovery and well-being.
Al-Dabab also noted the significance of this camp as a continuation of the 26 previous camps organized by the center. These efforts have resulted in more than 8,662 free cataract surgeries with lens implantation, benefiting patients from the most vulnerable and low-income groups. The ongoing commitment of the Grameen Yemen Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Environment, underscores their dedication to providing vital health services to underserved communities.
