Dhamar: The "Y30" Development Foundation has distributed 50,000 tomato and basil seedlings to members of the Women's Union and summer school centers in the Dhamar governorate. The initiative is aimed at encouraging home gardening and promoting agricultural awareness among students in the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the distribution effort seeks to foster a culture of agriculture and raise awareness of its importance in community development and self-sufficiency. Dhamar District Director Mohammad al-Sayqal highlighted the initiative's role in community engagement and development.
Fayza al-Azani, head of the Women's Union in Dhamar, stressed the importance of utilizing available spaces for planting fruit trees to meet family needs. She urged the community to provide care and attention to the seedlings to ensure they thrive.
Adnan Shabam, Director of the Y30 Foundation, mentioned that the distribution is part of the "Plant Your Home" initiative. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and local authorities, in coordination with the Women's Union and the Agricultural Sector in Dhamar.
