Sana'a: A total of 663 medical graduates in Hodeida province sat the second 2026 professional competency examination required for medical licensing, organized by the Medical Council in coordination with the University of Hodeida.
According to Yemen News Agency, Medical Council member Dr. Mohammed Suhail stated that the exam aims to assess the professional competence of graduates and ensure they meet licensing standards, thereby contributing to improved healthcare quality. The candidates included bachelor's degree holders in pharmacy, medical laboratories, dentistry, nursing, and clinical pharmacy. Additionally, diploma graduates in fields such as medical assistance, midwifery, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory sciences, dental assistance, emergency care, operating room technology, and anesthesia also participated.
University of Hodeida President Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahdal praised the partnership with the Medical Council, reaffirming the university's commitment to supporting the development of qualified healthcare professionals. This collaboration, he noted, is essential in enhancing the capabilities and skills of the graduates, ultimately contributing to the healthcare sector's growth and effectiveness.
