Sana'a: Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriates Abdulwahid Aburas sent a congratulatory cable to the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, on the election of Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Ali Khamenei as the third Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Yemen News Agency, in the cable, Aburas expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Iranian leadership and the brotherly Iranian people on this occasion, voicing his confidence in Mojtaba Khamenei's ability to lead Iran with wisdom and capability, to continue the path of steadfastness and achieve victory over the enemies of the nation.
He noted that the selection reflected unity within the Islamic Republic of Iran and demonstrated the level of popular support for the leadership and state institutions.
Aburas also stated that the assassination of the former Leader and the subsequent election of a new Leader confirm the failure of American and Israeli attempts to achieve the objectives of their aggression, while highlighting Iran's ability to overcome challenges and strengthen its internal cohesion.
The Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirmed Yemen's full support and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and its brotherly people in confronting American and Israeli aggression.
