Sanaa: The Supreme Political Council congratulated the brotherly Muslim people of Iran and their leadership on the election of the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, may Allah protect him.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a statement, the Council affirmed that this achievement reflects the strength of Iranian state institutions and their ability to manage critical junctures with steadfastness and responsibility, embodying the continuity of the approach, values, and principles upon which the Islamic Revolution was founded.
The Council also affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has, for decades, been a cornerstone in supporting the causes of the Islamic nation and defending the rights of peoples to freedom and independence, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. It has also played an active role in confronting hegemonic and arrogant projects that target the sovereignty of nations and the dignity of their peoples.
The Supreme Political Council expressed the Republic of Yemen's pride in the strong fraternal relations that bind the Yemeni and Iranian peoples, and the ties that unite them based on a shared belief in the causes of right and justice, and solidarity in confronting the challenges targeting the nation, its independence, and its sovereign decision-making.
The Council expressed its hope that the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the leadership of Imam Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, will continue its path of steadfastness and defense of the nation, overcoming all attempts at aggression and hegemony. It affirmed that the Iranian will remains firm in the face of all challenges until victory and dignity are achieved for the Iranian people and our Islamic nation.
