Abyan: Abyan governor Saleh al-Junaidi has expressed his support for efforts to reopen Aqabat Therah Road, a crucial link between the Abyan and Bayda governorates. The initiative was launched by local authorities a year ago to address the transportation challenges faced by citizens in the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, al-Junaidi clarified that the road has been accessible from the Sana'a side for about a year, following directives from the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council. This move was intended to alleviate the suffering of citizens by improving connectivity between the regions.
Al-Junaidi confirmed that there are currently no obstacles preventing the resumption of traffic on the main road. He expressed his willingness to collaborate with mediators to facilitate necessary repairs and ensure safe passage for travelers. He also commended the efforts of tribal leaders in addressing this issue and urged the "other party" to engage seriously in resolving this humanitarian concern to ease the movement of citizens.
