Sanaa: Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, underscored the necessity of enhancing services and simplifying procedures for citizens during his recent visit to the Authority's headquarters.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Mahdi visited several general departments to evaluate work progress, emphasizing the Authority's pivotal role in facilitating services and streamlining procedures. This initiative aims to fortify the collaborative relationship between customs administration and the private sector, encompassing traders, importers, and business professionals.
He stressed the need for establishing an institutional relationship based on integrity and transparency between the Authority and the public to ensure smooth and prompt processing of citizens' transactions.
Additionally, Dr. Mahdi toured the Customs Cultural Institute, where he received updates from its leadership on the ongoing efforts in training and capacity-building. These efforts are directed not only at customs employees but also at private sector stakeholders, including customs brokers.
