Sana'a: Acting Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment, Sam Al-Bashiri, inaugurated the Yemeni Products and Productive Families Exhibition, held at Al-Wahda Club in the capital, Sana'a.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Minister was accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the Secretariat, Amin Juman, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Policy, Studies, and Planning Sector, Fouad Al-Junaid. They toured the exhibition pavilions, which showcased fashion, clothing, bags, handicrafts, artwork, and a variety of food items. The officials engaged with participants to learn about the products on display, their production processes, and the challenges they encounter.
Al-Bashiri commended the participation levels of productive families, stating that the exhibition is part of efforts to enhance the marketing process for family-produced goods and to encourage the expansion of their activities. He underscored the importance of marketing products with high specifications and quality. Al-Bashiri revealed that the Ministry plans to organize more specialized exhibitions to market products from productive families and is considering electronic marketing initiatives. He also mentioned that exhibition organizing companies and commercial markets are expected to allocate permanent spaces for displaying and selling these products.
The Acting Minister highlighted the Ministry's commitment to supporting productive families as a priority within the Economic Empowerment Program. This initiative aims to transform families from consumers into producers. Undersecretary Fouad Al-Junaid noted that the Ministry intends to offer technical consultations to enhance the quality and competitiveness of products made by productive families. He emphasized that investing in these families contributes to sustainable development and poverty reduction.
