Baku:A meeting chaired by Acting Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment, Sam Al-Bashiri, reviewed the progress of projects aimed at developing and modernizing operations at the Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization.
According to Yemen News Agency, the organization's Director General, Abdullah Al-Atifi, presented the steps undertaken under the development plans to enhance performance and services.
Al-Bashiri emphasized the importance of expediting product testing procedures and promptly announcing laboratory results while adhering to quality and safety standards to protect consumers. He also highlighted the need for coordinated inspection procedures and practical solutions to technical and field challenges, stressing that safeguarding consumers' health, safety, and savings from substandard and counterfeit products remains a top priority.
