Sana'a: Acting Prime Minister Allamah Mohammed Moftah, along with Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, inaugurated the second academic term of 1447 AH today in the Capital Secretariat and the provinces. During the visit, they reviewed the progress at Omar Al-Mukhtar School in the capital, guided by insights from Hadi Ammar, Undersecretary for the Basic Education Sector at the Ministry, and Abdulqadir Al-Mahdi, Head of the Educational Sector in the Secretariat.
According to Yemen News Agency, Moftah highlighted education's critical role in national advancement and societal well-being, calling for unified efforts across sectors to ensure the educational term's success. He encouraged students to maintain diligence in their studies, actively engage in their learning environments, and pursue personal growth. The strong student turnout on the first day was commended as a sign of commitment to education.
The Acting Prime Minister acknowledged the dedication of educators and administrators in overcoming ongoing challenges and praised their contributions to the successful completion of the previous academic term. He expressed gratitude for their perseverance amid difficult circumstances, including the impact of ongoing aggression.
Deputy Minister Dr. Hatem Al-Duais emphasized the collective responsibility in achieving educational success, describing it as a national obligation. He assured that the Ministry had completed necessary preparations to accommodate over six million students across primary and secondary levels in public and private schools.
Dr. Al-Duais encouraged students to aim for excellence and self-improvement, noting the significance of such efforts in contributing to national development. He lauded teachers for their unwavering commitment to their roles despite facing various challenges.
Additionally, Dr. Al-Duais, along with the Undersecretary for the Basic Education Sector, assessed the class progress at July 7 School and Martyr Mohammed Mutahar Zaid Girls' School, receiving updates from local education officials on ensuring the term's success.
