Sana'a: Three community initiatives have been successfully completed in the Bani Hashish Directorate of Sana'a Governorate, aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure. The projects involved the construction of six new classrooms and the renovation of 13 existing ones at Imam Zaid, al-Fath, and Martyr Mabkhout schools situated in the Sa'wan area.
According to Yemen News Agency, the community-driven efforts included the addition of three classrooms at Imam Zaid School, spearheaded by local residents. Similarly, Al-Fath School saw the construction of three classrooms with backing from the Chairman of the Parents' Council, Abdullah Sinan. Moreover, a significant renovation project was carried out at Al-Shaheed Mabkhout School in Al-Kharbah, where 13 classrooms were refurbished and 255 chairs repaired, funded by a community initiative costing two and a half million riyals.
The Deputy Head of the Education Sector in the Governorate, Mohammed Khamis, and the Directorate's Education Sector Head, Sabri Al-Qahm, lauded the local community for its proactive involvement in the educational sector. They emphasized the importance of such support in fostering an informed generation ready to contribute to future development endeavors.
School principals Ali Al-Humaidi, Abdullah Al-Azib, and Adel Khamis highlighted that these initiatives reflect the commitment of the Parents' Councils to support governmental efforts in advancing education. They called on the district's residents to continue their active participation in similar community-driven educational projects.
