Hodeida: Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Dr. Radwan al-Rubai and Hodeida governor Abdullah Atifi inspected fish landing centers in the al-Duraihimi district to assess the conditions and needs of local fishermen.
According to Yemen News Agency, the visit included thorough inspections of Bal'a Marina and al-Nakhila landing center. The officials focused on evaluating the quality of services and identifying infrastructure requirements necessary for the improvement of these centers. During their visit, they engaged in discussions with the center staff, addressing the challenges faced and emphasizing the need for institutional support and expanded production capabilities.
The delegation, which included Coast Guard personnel and fisheries officials, also took the opportunity to exchange Eid al-Adha greetings with the local community, commending the ongoing efforts to ensure the security of the coastal areas. The Minister and the Governor highlighted the importance of cooperative efforts to improve the livelihoods of fishermen and to develop the fishing sector. They stressed that these efforts are crucial for enhancing local economic resilience and sustainability.
