Sana'a:The Ain Al-Insaniya Center for Rights and Development has issued a condemnation regarding the recent actions of the Saudi-led aggression against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen. The attacks reportedly affected five governorates and resulted in eight deaths and 19 injuries, including women and children. Significant damage was reported to health, educational, and service facilities, as well as private property.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Center highlighted the grave concerns associated with these attacks, emphasizing that the targeting of civilians, along with medical and educational facilities, water and telecommunications infrastructure, and other civilian objects, constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law. The principles of distinction and proportionality, as well as the obligation to take necessary precautions to protect civilians, have been reportedly disregarded.
The Ain Al-Insaniya Center holds the Saudi regime responsible for these actions and their resultant human and material toll. The Center has urged the United Nations, the international community, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take immediate measures to stop these violations. It calls for ensuring the protection of civilians and civilian objects and for ending the continued targeting of resources crucial to the Yemeni people.
