Taiz:The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources has strongly condemned an airstrike by Saudi aircraft on the Taiz Central Market, a key facility for agricultural products. This market is crucial to the livelihood of local citizens.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ministry described the attack as a crime against a civilian facility, adding it to the list of crimes committed by the Saudi forces against the Yemeni people in recent years. They highlighted that such attacks aim to destroy essential components of civilian life and target facilities integral to food production and the national economy, ultimately affecting farmers, producers, traders, and citizens.
The ministry stated that targeting the market is an attack on the agricultural production and marketing system. It is seen as an effort to undermine local production and food security. Despite these challenges, the ministry assured that such actions would not deter farmers and agricultural workers from continuing their production activities.
