Airstrikes and Shelling in Yemen Cause Civilian Casualties Over Several Years

Taiz:Yemen: Airstrikes and shelling by US-Saudi-Emirati forces have resulted in significant civilian casualties in Yemen, affecting many districts over the years.

According to Yemen News Agency, on October 4, 2015, airstrikes in Saada Governorate's Sahar District led to the deaths of three citizens and injured five more. Similar attacks in Haydan District killed two citizens and destroyed multiple homes. In Taiz city, over 35 airstrikes damaged numerous residences and properties.

The following year, on October 4, 2016, five women were killed in an airstrike on a farm in Al-Jawf Governorate's Al-Mutun District. The same day saw further attacks in the region, resulting in more deaths and injuries.

The pattern continued in subsequent years, with October 4, 2017, witnessing an airstrike that killed 12 people in Saada Governorate's Baqim District. Other districts, including Hajjah and Al-Hodeida, also suffered casualties and property damage from airstrikes and shelling.

In 2018, artillery and missile attacks targeted various areas in Saada and Al-Hodeida, causing injuries and damage to homes and farms. The next year saw continued attacks, with a citizen killed and others injured in Taiz Governorate.

The violence persisted on October 4, 2020, with airstrikes and shelling in Al-Hodeida and Marib Governorates, resulting in civilian injuries and property damage. In 2021, similar attacks led to deaths and injuries in Saada and Marib.

Recent reports from October 4, 2023, indicate reconnaissance aircraft carried out airstrikes in Al-Hodeida, and mercenaries continued to shell areas with artillery, maintaining a pattern of violence that has persisted over the years.
