Taiz:The Ministry of Health and Environment has reported that 47 citizens, among them children, were either killed or injured following Saudi airstrikes on the Economic Corporation Market at Mawiyah Junction in Taiz Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry's statement revealed that seven citizens were killed and 40 others, including five children, sustained injuries in the initial assessment of the incident. The airstrikes targeted commercial shops in the area.
The Ministry condemned the airstrikes as a horrific crime, accusing Saudi aircraft of deliberately targeting civilian sites, including commercial shops and the wall of a radio station in the Al-Taiziyah District.
The Ministry further described the attack as a blatant violation of international and humanitarian laws, which prohibit the targeting of markets and civilian facilities. It emphasized that this incident is part of a broader pattern of aggression against the Yemeni people, persisting for 12 years amid silence and complicity from the Arab world and the international community.
