Al-Hadda: In Al-Hadda district in Dhamar province, the annual Al-Hadda Champions Football League concluded its fourth edition, which lasted for 73 days, with the participation of 30 teams from different areas of the directorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, a carnival sports festival witnessed the final match between Al-A’amas and Busan Falcons teams, where both teams showcased a cautious football display, ultimately leading to a draw. The match proceeded to a penalty shootout, where the professional star Abdul Nasser Al-Fadhli emerged as a key player by saving a critical penalty kick from Bosnian captain Anas Al-Hajj, thereby securing Al-A’amas’ victory.
Al-Fadhli’s son added to the celebration for Al-A’amas by netting the decisive fifth penalty, clinching the championship trophy. The Bosnian Falcons, after scoring three penalty kicks, settled for the second place with silver medals.
The tournament also recognized several individual and team performances. The perfect team award was shared between Al-Sawad and Al-Masakra teams. Tanen team’s Mushir Al-Tanani was named the best player, while Mohammed Al-Sharhi from Al-A’amas was awarded the best professional player. Ashraf Al-Tanani from Tanen secured the top scorer title, Ali Ziad from Busan was honored as the best keeper, and Ashraf Naji was acknowledged as the best coach.
In a gesture of appreciation, the Office Director of the Minister of Youth and Sports honored Dr. Mohammed Abdulwali Akrout, the tournament sponsor, with the ministry’s shield, recognizing his significant role in the event. Additionally, the directors of the directorate and the youth branch were presented with the Youth Ministry’s shield.
