Sanaa: Speaker of the Shura Council, Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidaroos, on Wednesday sent a cable of condolences to the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, on the martyrdom of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Dr. Ali Larijani, and the Commander of the Basij Forces, Brigadier General Gholam Reza Soleimani. On his own behalf and on behalf of the Presidium, members, and General Secretariat of the Shura Council, the Speaker expressed his deepest condolences to the leadership and brotherly people of Iran and the entire Islamic nation, affirming that the two commanders attained the honor of martyrdom while performing their duties in the battle to defend the nation, after being targeted by a treacherous American-Israeli aggression.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Aidaroos praised the virtues of the martyr Larijani, describing him as a paragon of wisdom, insight, and courage in confronting Zionist and American arrogance. He noted that Dr. Larijani's struggle was rich in political and security arenas, and his tireless efforts to bolster regional stability and strengthen ties among Islamic countries made him a prominent international figure in the axis of resistance.
The Speaker of the Shura pointed out that the martyrdom of these great leaders demonstrates that the nation is currently engaged in a decisive and fateful battle against the tyrants of our time. He emphasized that these immense sacrifices will not be in vain, but will instead hasten the demise of the "Zionist entity."
He reiterated the Republic of Yemen's firm and principled stance in support of Iran and the resistance against aggression, affirming its support for the Islamic Republic and its legitimate right to defend itself and deter attacks targeting its sovereignty and symbols.
Al-Aidaroos prayed to Allah Almighty to have mercy on the two martyrs and grant them a place in Paradise with the prophets and the righteous, and to grant their families and loved ones patience and solace.
