Sana'a: Al-Aqsa Flood has claimed victory in the Mawlid al-Nabawi Cup, celebrated in the Mazhar District of Raymah Province. The tournament, part of the Mawlid al-Nabawi Schools Championship, was orchestrated by the branch of the Office of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the education sector branch. This event was supported by the Youth and Adolescents Welfare Fund and coordinated with the governorate's Office of Youth and Sports.
According to Yemen News Agency, the championship's final match saw Al-Aqsa Flood facing off against Glorious Gaza, concluding with a decisive 6-2 win for Al-Aqsa Flood. During the closing ceremony, Deputy Governor Fahd al-Harasi, joined by District Director Adel al-Masawei and the Directors of Youth, Mohammed al-Nahati and Abdullah al-Bakali, awarded the Al-Aqsa Flood team the championship cup and gold medals, while the runners-up, Glorious Gaza, received silver medals.
Deputy Governor al-Harasi highlighted the significance of sports competitions in nurturing young talent and encouraging participation in athletics. Additionally, the Director of the Youth Office in the governorate reiterated the commitment to fostering youth development through organizing sports tournaments alongside cultural and awareness initiatives.
