Al-bayda: Al-Bayda governor Abdullah Idris launched the painting of sidewalks in Al-Bayda city as part of preparations for the celebration of the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid) for the year 1448 AH. Governor Idris inspected the progress of the painting and beautification work on the main street in Al-Bayda city, which is being carried out by the governorate's Cleaning and Improvement Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, the governor was briefed by Engineer Muhammad Jamal, director of the governorate's Cleaning and Improvement Fund, about the ongoing beautification work. This initiative includes enhancements on the main streets and medians in the cities of Al-Bayda and Rada'a, as well as secondary towns. The activities aim to enhance the aesthetic appearance of public spaces in anticipation of the Prophet's Birthday.
During the launch, Governor Idris acknowledged the dedication of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund staff in executing the painting and beautification work. He emphasized the importance of presenting a civilized image of Al-Bayda's city centers in celebration of the religious occasion. The governor noted that such efforts reflect the public's engagement and commemorate the birth of the Prophet, sending a significant message to the wider community.
In addition to the painting projects, Governor Idris inaugurated new mechanical sweepers for the governorate's Sanitation and Improvement Fund. These sweepers, purchased for 12 million riyals using the fund's resources, are expected to enhance the sanitation services. Governor Idris stressed the need for modern equipment to aid sanitation workers in efficiently clearing street waste, thereby expanding the scope of sanitation services.
