Hodeidah:The office of the General Authority for Zakat in Hodeidah Governorate organized a speech event today to commemorate the annual Martyr Day under the slogan "Our Martyrs Are Our Great Ones."
According to Yemen News Agency, the event featured remarks from the Governorate Undersecretary for Services Affairs, Mohammed Hulaisi, who expressed admiration for the sacrifices made by the martyrs. He commended the humanitarian projects and support provided to the martyrs' families and relatives by the General Authority for Zakat as a gesture of appreciation for their contributions to the homeland's dignity.
Hulaisi highlighted Martyr Day as a representation of the Yemeni people's resilience, valor, and heroism in defending their homeland against conspiracies aimed at destabilizing the country's security. He affirmed that after 12 years of aggression and siege, the Yemeni people remain steadfast in their support for the oppressed and are actively confronting the Saudi regime's military efforts and facilities in retaliation for its continued crimes and blockade.
The event, attended by the office's cadre and employees, featured poetic performances and an operetta celebrating the enduring legacy of the martyrs who defended the homeland on the frontlines.
