Taiz:The Taiz branch of the National Human Rights Authority has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as a horrific massacre committed by Saudi mercenaries in the Al-Masarakh District. The attack targeted the Al-Makh'af popular market, which was crowded with civilians, resulting in an initial report of eight fatalities and dozens of injuries, including children and women.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Authority's branch labeled the attack as a fully constituted war crime and a flagrant violation of divine laws and international humanitarian covenants that prohibit targeting civilian markets. The branch holds the Saudi forces and their mercenaries entirely accountable for the crime.
The Authority has called on the United Nations, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Security Council to denounce the attack and actively work to bring the perpetrators to justice. It also urged human rights and humanitarian organizations to condemn these acts and ensure the protection of civilian areas from future attacks.
