Al-bayda: The Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, inspected the agricultural activities at the Central Nursery in the city of Al-Bayda, where he reviewed an extensive plan for planting and distributing fruit trees.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Idris was briefed by Engineer Mohammed Al-Haidari, the Director of the Agricultural Sector in the governorate, on the nursery's ongoing work. The nursery is currently focused on a range of fruit and ornamental tree seedlings. Engineer Al-Haidari highlighted the need to coordinate with the Cleaning and Improvement Fund to distribute fruit trees effectively, leveraging the upcoming rainy season for planting. He further explained that the nursery has a history of distributing seedlings of figs, almonds, pomegranates, and other trees to local farmers.
During his visit, Governor Idris instructed the agricultural sector and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund to commence planting fig trees along the stretch from the entrance of Izzah Street to the end of the main street in Al-Bayda City during the next rainy season. He underscored the significance of utilizing Al-Bayda's natural resources by expanding the cultivation of fig, coffee, and other fruit trees.
Governor Idris also emphasized the need to raise community awareness about the importance of agriculture and the utilization of suitable lands for farming purposes. This initiative is in alignment with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, the President of the Supreme Political Council, and the Change and Development Government's agenda aimed at boosting the agricultural sector.
