Sana'a: The branch of the Public Telecommunications Corporation in Al Bayda Governorate initiated a project on Monday to distribute school bags for the 1448 AH academic year across several schools in the cities of Al Bayda and Rada'a, aiming to bolster the education sector.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project targets 2,000 male and female students in 12 schools in Al Bayda and Rada'a, with the goal of encouraging students to continue their education and supporting those in need. During the launch event at Hail Saeed Anam Boys School and Al-Thawra Girls School in Al Bayda city, Governor Abdullah Idris highlighted the initiative's role in supporting students, who are considered an essential part of society, and motivating them to pursue their educational aspirations.
Governor Idris expressed the governorate's commitment, in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunications and supporting entities, to continue providing assistance to the educational sector, which has shown resilience and maintained its mission despite the challenges posed by aggression and blockade. Engineer Adnan Al-Qusous, Director of the Telecommunications Corporation branch in Al Bayda, emphasized that the project demonstrates the corporation's dedication to supporting the educational process, particularly in schools that have been most impacted by the effects of aggression and blockade.
