Al-bayda: Al-Bayda University organized today a protest march denouncing the ongoing killings, starvation, and acts of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation against the people of Gaza, under the slogan: 'With the Prophet's birthday, the pledge is renewed; with support for Gaza, dignity is affirmed.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the march was led by University President Dr. Ahmed Al-Arami, his deputies, deans, faculty, staff, and students, who carried the Yemeni and Palestinian flags while chanting slogans condemning Arab and Islamic inaction in the face of the unprecedented atrocities against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
A statement issued by the march described the occasion of this year's Prophet's birthday celebration as an exceptional message of resistance, a platform for mobilization, and a launch point for supporting Gaza and defending Palestine.
The statement reaffirmed full support for the positions of the Revolutionary Leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, on national and regional issues, especially the Palestinian cause, and called for broad and active participation in commemorating the Prophet's birthday.
It urged Arab and Islamic nations to press their governments to take clear and strong stances to halt the policy of starvation and genocide against the people of Gaza, while emphasizing the need to support resistance movements in Lebanon and strengthen efforts to counter schemes aimed at disarming them.
The march's statement stressed the importance of continuing cultural and awareness activities to educate people on the nature of the conflict with the Israeli occupation.
