Sanaa: The Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Sam Al-Bishiri, today launched the executive program for charity and benevolence activities of the Ministries of Economy and Industry, and Education and Scientific Research, in Shu'ub District, Capital Sanaa.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatim Al-Du'ais, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cement Corporation, Yahya Ateefah, and the Head of the General Investment Authority, Mohammed Abubakr Ishaq, Al-Bishiri affirmed that acts of charity and benevolence are fundamental principles of the Yemeni people, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.
He pointed out that the program comes in the context of officials and state leaders getting closer to citizens and attending to their concerns and needs, in accordance with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, and the instructions of the President of the Supreme Political Council.
The Acting Minister of Economy noted that the Ministries of Economy and Education will work with the local authority and the private sector in the district to implement charitable activities, including distributing food baskets, supporting charitable kitchens, and economic empowerment programs, explaining that this activity will not be limited to the month of Ramadan but will extend throughout the year.
At the launch, the Head of the Social Affairs Committee at the Local Council of the Secretariat, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, and the Director of Shu'ub District, Mohammed Al-Hadrami, praised this initiative from the leadership of the two ministries and their affiliated bodies. They affirmed that it embodies the extent of the interconnectedness and close cohesion between the citizen and the official.
