Al-dhale’: The Acting Governor of Al-Dhale’, Abdul Latif Al-Shaghdari, inaugurated the infrastructure project on the circular road in Damt District, which involves implementing water and sanitation networks at a total cost of 40 million riyals.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project is part of the local authority’s plan to improve essential services, enhance the urban appearance of Damt District, establish a modern sewage network for the circular road, extend and deliver potable water networks, and expand and upgrade the electricity grid to keep pace with urban growth in the city.
During the inauguration, attended by the Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Authority in the governorate, Saleh Ishaq, Acting Governor Al-Shaghdari emphasized the project’s importance in alleviating citizens’ hardships and improving service efficiency in the district. He stressed the need to adhere strictly to technical specifications and the established implementation schedule.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Damt Branch of the Water Authority, Ahmed Al-Halqabi, described the project as a strategic step to connect new areas to essential services, ensuring the sustainability of infrastructure and addressing the district’s growing population density. He noted that the self-funded project includes the installation of 1,600 meters of sewage network and 1,200 meters of water network.
