Shu'ub district: The Local Council and Mobilization Office in Shu'ub District of the Capital Secretariat organized a cultural event on Wednesday marking the annual anniversary of 'Al-Sarkah Against Arrogant Powers'.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by members of the Shura Council, including Ahmed Al-Zubairi, Ahmed Al-Sharabi, and Mohsen Al-Nimi. Also present were Secretary-General of the Council Ali Abdul-Mughni, Head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Secretariat Hamoud Al-Nuqeeb, Deputy Head of the Zakat Authority Ali Al-Saqqaf, and Secretary-General of the district Local Council Mohammed Al-Hadrami. The program included speeches, cultural and poetic performances, and awareness videos about the slogan.
Member of the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil, spoke about freedom of expression in relation to the adoption of the slogan, its origins, and early stages, and what it represents as an ongoing stance in confronting what he described as 'hostile American and Zionist schemes targeting the nation.' He emphasized that the slogan serves as a religious stance affirmed in the Holy Qur'an and an effective means of resistance against the enemies of the nation, as well as a rejection of American and Israeli policies aimed at domination, exploitation of resources, and infringement on sovereignty.
Dr. Al-Mutawakkil further stated that the slogan acts as a safeguard against falling into what he described as 'alliances with enemies,' exposes collaborators and hypocrites, and has moved societies from a state of neutrality to what he called a correct and principled position.
Shu'ub District Mobilization Official Abdullah Al-Kawl highlighted the meanings and objectives of the slogan as a 'weapon and stance,' describing it as an expression of steadfastness, awareness, and collective responsibility, as well as a reflection of unity in facing challenges. He praised the wide participation of residents of Shu'ub District in the event, renewing their declared disassociation from the enemies of Allah, and commended the organizational efforts behind the gathering.
Palestinian researcher Dr. Abdullah Al-Buhayse pointed to the broad impact of 'Al-Sarkah Against Arrogant Powers,' noting that its resonance has extended beyond Yemen to various parts of the world as, in his view, a voice of truth. He called on Arab and Islamic nations to strengthen unity and take serious action to reject and counter the plans and projects of global 'arrogant powers' targeting the region.
Participants reaffirmed their disavowal of what they described as the enemies of the nation, the United States and Israel, and renewed their pledge to the leader of the Qur'anic movement, Abdulmalik Badr al-Din Al-Houthi, to continue adhering to the Qur'anic project founded by the late leader to confront global arrogance.
