Sana'a: The Acting Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fahd Al-Ezzi, today reviewed the progress of executive procedures and arrangements related to completing the merger work at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources. During this visit, Al-Ezzi, alongside Ammar Al-Karim, the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Adel Bader, the Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water, engaged with specialists from the Ministry to receive updates on the progress and procedures of the merger.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Ezzi emphasized the purpose of the visit was to closely monitor the practical steps involved in the merger process, ensuring alignment with specified timelines. This initiative aims to implement the leadership's directives on developing institutional capacity, improving performance levels, and boosting productivity across sectors.
The Acting Minister of Agriculture, Ammar Al-Karim, expressed appreciation for the leadership's commitment to monitoring the restructuring and merger process. He highlighted that significant portions of the merger have been completed following precise technical and administrative standards designed to enhance performance and further the advancement of the agricultural and fisheries sectors.
Adel Bader, the Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water, remarked on the strategic importance of integrating the water and agriculture sectors. He noted that this merger is essential for protecting water resources and achieving sustainability, ultimately addressing challenges related to food security sources.
