Al-Hawk District Launches Martyr School Football League in Hodeida

Hodeida: Al-Hawk district in the Hodeida governorate has inaugurated the Martyr School Football League for the under-15 age group. This event is held in honor of the Martyr Leader and forms part of the annual commemoration dedicated to martyrs.

According to Yemen News Agency, seventeen schools are participating in the tournament. These schools are organized into four groups, each named after martyrs. The opening match witnessed al-Furqan School defeating al-Imtiaz School with a score of 6-1, placing al-Furqan School at the top of Group Two.

Officials emphasized the league's significance in honoring the sacrifices made by martyrs. They also highlighted its role in promoting teamwork and fostering national pride among students, while simultaneously nurturing young sports talents for future teams.
