Inauguration of Al-Duha Rural Hospital in Al-Hodeidah Marks Major Step in Healthcare Improvement

Al-hodeidah: The building of Al-Duha Rural Hospital in the Al-Duha District of Al-Hodeidah Governorate was inaugurated today, following the completion of restoration and rehabilitation works funded by the General Authority for Zakat. The project was completed at a cost of four million and five hundred thousand riyals.

According to Yemen News Agency, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Member of Parliament Ali Al-Baghawi, Directors of the Health and Environment Office in the governorate, Dr. Ali Al-Haddad, the General Authority for Zakat in the governorate, Mohammed Hazaa, and the Director of Al-Duha District, Abdulhaq Khubal. These officials inspected the hospital's departments, equipment, and structural enhancements, which are expected to elevate performance efficiency and improve the medical services available to residents of the district and neighboring areas.

The Director of the Health Office expressed gratitude towards the Zakat Authority for its support of the health sector, emphasizing the positive impact of the hospital's restoration and rehabilitation on the quality of medical services provided to the district's residents.

In addition, the Director of the Zakat Authority Office reiterated the Authority's dedication to supporting health and humanitarian projects that elevate basic service levels and cater to community needs, thus ensuring the sustainability of health facilities' operations.

A cooperation agreement was also signed between the Office of the General Authority for Zakat in Al-Hodeidah Governorate and Al-Duha Rural Hospital. This agreement aims to bolster the provision of medical and surgical services for patients, particularly from deserving groups, and enhance the quality of healthcare at the hospital.

Mohammed Hazaa, Director of the Zakat Authority Office in the governorate, highlighted that the agreement aligns with the Authority's strategy to reinforce partnerships with the health sector. This initiative is expected to ease the burden on patients and support the hospital in delivering medical and surgical services efficiently and sustainably.

Idris Al-Harouni, Director of Al-Duha Rural Hospital, described the agreement as a crucial step in expanding therapeutic and surgical services at the hospital, thus improving healthcare for beneficiary patients. He also acknowledged the Zakat Authority's support in enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens.
