Al-Hodeidah:The local authority in Al-Hodeidah Governorate has condemned the Saudi-led airstrikes targeting the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Al-Hodeidah University. The strikes involved two raids directly hitting the academic facility.
According to Yemen News Agency, the authority's statement described the attack as a blatant violation of international laws and humanitarian norms. It emphasized that the targeting of an academic and medical facility is aimed at destroying educational institutions and inflicting severe damage on the academic sector.
The statement further held the Saudi forces fully legally and morally responsible for these actions, stating that such attacks on vital educational facilities reflect a failure to counter the resilience of the Yemeni people and their academic staff.
The local authority also renewed its call for international and humanitarian organizations, along with student and academic unions worldwide, to take serious action in condemning these violations. They urged these entities to expose systematic attacks on Yemen's infrastructure and civilian institutions.
