Al-Hodeidah Governor Inspects Attendance Post-Eid al-Adha Holiday

Al hodeidah: Al Hodeidah Governor Abdullah Atefi inspected on Saturday the level of employee attendance and workflow at a number of government institutions and facilities in the governorate following the Eid al-Adha holiday.

According to Yemen News Agency, the visit included the Governorate Office, the Health and Environment Office, the Tax Office, the branch of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority, the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, Al Hodeidah Port Customs, the Yemen Standardization, Metrology, Quality Control Organization, and the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation. During the tour, Governor Atefi received briefings from officials and leaders of the government institutions on employee attendance levels, the progress of daily tasks and activities, and ongoing efforts to enhance administrative performance and meet citizens' needs.

He also reviewed the operational mechanisms adopted by these entities and their readiness to resume activities and programs following the Eid holiday, ensuring the continuity of services and the achievement of institutional efficiency. The governor toured various departments and divisions of the facilities visited, inspecting workflow, indicators of employee discipline, adherence to official working hours, and the implementation of assigned duties.

During the visits, Governor Atefi emphasized the importance of strengthening workplace discipline as a fundamental pillar for improving performance across administrative and service institutions, thereby contributing to better public services for citizens. He noted that the current phase requires intensified efforts, a strong sense of national and professional responsibility, and teamwork to meet community needs and achieve developmental and service objectives.

The governor praised the level of commitment and discipline observed in several government offices and institutions, as well as the efforts made by their employees to improve institutional performance and facilitate citizens' transactions. He explained that the governorate leadership attaches great importance to monitoring the performance of executive and service agencies to enhance government efficiency and improve public services across various sectors.

Governor Atefi urged the leaders and employees of offices, authorities, and institutions to continue exerting efforts to improve administrative performance, adhere to official working hours, and process transactions responsibly and efficiently, reflecting a positive image of institutional work.

For their part, officials of the entities visited expressed appreciation for the governorate leadership's attention to monitoring performance and workplace discipline, affirming their commitment to improving work quality and developing services provided to citizens. Meanwhile, the Director of the Civil Service and Administrative Development Office in the governorate stated that the employee attendance rate in the offices, institutions, and administrative units monitored during the first official working day after the Eid al-Adha holiday reached 92 percent. He commended employees for their commitment to attendance and the performance of their duties in serving citizens, affirming that field inspections, oversight, and continuous monitoring of workplace discipline across various offices, institutions, and administrative units will continue, contributing to enhanced efficiency and improved public service delivery.
