Al-Ittihad University and Ibn Sirin College Celebrate Prophet’s Birthday with Event in Sana’a

Sana'a: Al-Ittihad University for Science and Technology and Ibn Sirin College for Medical and Technical Sciences organized a speech event in Sana'a to commemorate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, the Undersecretary for Education and Scientific Research for Higher Education, highlighted the strong connection between the Yemeni people and the Prophet due to historical ties with the Ansar and the descendants of the Aws and Khazraj. Luqman emphasized the importance of turning the Prophet's birthday into a time for action and giving, especially in light of the country's current challenges. He encouraged students to pursue education and skills needed in the labor market to foster societal development. Furthermore, he mentioned a new program enabling diploma graduates to continue their studies at universities.

Dr. Ali Saleh, the Rector of Al-Ittihad University, remarked that the Prophet's birthday symbolizes the birth of an Arab nation inspired by the Prophet to lead with virtue, justice, and peace. He urged attendees to embody the values exemplified by the Prophet, such as patience, courage, and justice. Dr. Saleh also announced that fourth-year tuition fees would be waived for students enrolling at both institutions during the 1448 AH Prophet's Birthday celebrations.
