Hajjah: Al-Maghawrah team in al-Shaghaderah district of Hajjah province on Sunday claimed the title of the Prophet's Birthday Football Tournament.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament was organized by the Youth and Sports Office in Bani Qais district and featured the participation of 16 teams. Al-Maghawrah secured their victory by defeating al-Nujoom of al-Khashm in a penalty shootout, following a goalless draw in regulation time.
Local officials, after the final match, honored the champions, the runners-up, and standout players. Awards were given to Salah al-Maghawri as the best player, Mousa Ali as the best goalkeeper, and Ali Jumhouri of al-Khashm who was recognized as the top scorer.
